Neuvo EK 2017
hi, just wondered if anyone has any idea why the 12v socket in the drivers cab should stop working? The Garmin lead and satnav work fine in the cigarette socket, does anyone know of any reason why it should just stop working?
Until this problem is rectified, is it okay to plug the satnav lead into the cigarette socket to power up the satnav?
Any advice and help really appreciated.

It will work from cigarette socket but the connection is not always that good.

socket not working
hi,
yes this will most likely be the fuse. those two sockets are on different fuses and don't be fooled by the hand book mine was a fuse in the engine bay and the dealer who did it put a tag on the fuse so I could do it myself if it went again, but I sold the van last year and cant remember now which it was.

My fuse was blown using a tyre inflater ,I have removed the plug and fitted crocodile clips so I can connect to leisure, no fuse was fitted to inflator plug so have fitted a line fuse to the leads

Be careful with cheap chinese cigarette lighter plugs in either the front Cigarette lighter socket OR, worse, the TV power sockets. They can short out the terminals on either of those and blow the appropriate fuse. It happened to me with a £1.99 usb adaptor plug.
By the way - good to hearthat A/S are still going in 2067

Re: Neuvo EK 2017
Based on your post, I remembered using my tyre inflator only a few days before and the tyre inflator stopped after briefly starting. I now realise the tyre inflator was highly likely the cause of blowing the fuse.Molly3 wrote:My fuse was blown using a tyre inflater ,I have removed the plug and fitted crocodile clips so I can connect to leisure, no fuse was fitted to inflator plug so have fitted a line fuse to the leads
According to my TPMS, my tyres needed air, so tried using my local garage airline to pump up the tyres to the Peugeot recommended tyre pressures, only to find the airline gauge would only pump to 4.4 bar! I wonder if you or anyone on the forum has found similar problems using garage forecourts air-lines?

I nearly suggested this, having done the same myself.Molly3 wrote:My fuse was blown using a tyre inflater ,I have removed the plug and fitted crocodile clips so I can connect to leisure, no fuse was fitted to inflator plug so have fitted a line fuse to the leads
I also fitted Croc clips, but I find it easier to use the vehicle battery, via the jump lead terminals under the bonnet.
Ron's advice about the cheap Chinese cigarette lighter plugs is also very apposite. Not me, but a friend (on here) kept blowing his fuses when plugging in the telly, and that was eventually found to be the reason.
I am also more strong willed than Ron , and resisted the temptation to mention the embryonic status of your van. Though how I resisted I don't know - I'm proud of myself!!

I've altered year from 2067 to 2017. Thought I'd mention it in case folk wonder what some comments meant.
