The standard Avtex powered aerial works well and is small enough to take as a back up.

Stick it on an outside window in the correct direction and orientation and then wire it into the external TV input.

May not be perfect, but I found it to get better reception than the omni aerial, so take just as a back up in low signal areas.

hi there  not all amps have a light on them and cannot be switched off because they do not have a switch.
