Hi Dave, I phoned the yesterday, I've also emailed them, all they tell me is that they have fitted Corinium's with towbars !!

As much as I try; I cannot get the specific information that I feel I need to make this decision!

The only email I received from them, asks for more information, I have provided that!

However, I'm yet to receive a reply...I respect their technical expertise, but a lack of specific information leads me to conclude that they just do not know!!

They used to make the towbars to fit the van Ray. They made one for me when it had to go round the waste tank and was a little bit awkward. I suspect they can't do that any more since the Type Approval legislation was applied to motorhomes.

If there's not an approved "off the shelf" towbar available to fit a Corinium (and labelled as such!!!! shrugg ) they might have a problem.

I'm only guessing of course, but since it's a fairly new model and not very common, that could well be the difficulty. Pester power works a treat. Get back on the phone to them and others (A/S in particular) and make yourself a nuisance - nicely of course! up!

Hi Dave, fortunately I don't have to be the nuisance today smile! I have received confirmation from Watlings that a type approved flange type Towbar can indeed be fitted...whoopee....

Good news Ray.

Common sense wins at last. People like Watling don't need type approval to know what's safe, but if it doesn't have the official label these days they dare not fit it.

How did the human race survive for so long without all the rules and regulations! shrugg

That's good news!

Just as a matter of interest are you able to fit a towbar to a 2016 Nuevo EK Model, just for future reference

Hi Terry, I currently have a 2016 Broadway EK...a Towbar was not an issue for this, either Swan neck or the flange type!
However there are certain prerequisites I.e, chassis extensions that e.g that facilitate Towbar fittment.

Got one on ours. No problems at all, and if you can do the electrics you could fit your own in an hour. It's just bolted onto pre-existing holes in the chassis extension.

Big Meccano really! up!

I have just rang AS servicing in Tewkesbury and the reply from their technician was " yes we can fit a tow bar to your FB corinium 4000kg at a cost of £1340 inc vat " I was told that it meets all legal requirements and is fuily insurance compatible ... Does this sound correct ?

Not if you rang the A/S Service Centre in Tewkesbury - they are in Willersey.

You may have rung the Marquis branch, which is one of those that have not had rave reviews! scratch head

We paid hardly more than half that figure for ours. That seems an awful lot to me

That sounds like the fitting of the full harness type as apposed to the bypass relay harness!

I'm not really familiar with wiring so I apologise if I'm wrong but it is cheaper to fit the bypass relay, circa £700.00

Don't know where you are in Worcs, but . . .

We got ours done by FastFit in Bromsgrove, just behind the big Morrisons near the Avoncroft Museum. 52.314589, -2.064107

As fitters I don't think they are any better or worse than anyone else, but the tow bar they fitted is a top quality Tow Trust brand, and with single electrics it cost £740.
