Newbies in france
Thank you for providing this forum its just what we need.
My husband Daren and myself (Rowena) have just purchased a '95 Duetto and are camper virgins.
We have been based in south west France since 2002 and are looking forward to lots of weekenders with our 11yr old son Roman.

Be sure to let me know when you're in the area Ramblers, I should receive a guide to the French aires today. Looking forward to planning our first trip in the spring. Hubbies has the van (must think of a name!) In the workshop lots of rust to deal with, thankfully he welds and transit panels are cheap!

Welcome to the Forum from Selsdon. You could call the van 'Rusty' for the time being until restored......but then maybe the name would just stick!

I note you comment about French aires. We usually travel back from Spain through France during late Feb or early March and I always pick up a French Camping-Car magazine that has a free guide to all the aires in France. For €8.50 you get the magazine plus a book and a fold flat map of all the current aires, it's much more up to date than other publications at a fraction of the price. Lucky you living where you do!
