Fresh water inlet Empty Fresh water inlet

Just had a fresh water inlet fitted to are Nuevo 2013 so we can fill with out using a pump, I use a rain water pvc bend as larger filling point unfortunately water entered the area where we store are bending, it would seem that a air vent in the new fitting lets water through, has anybody had a problem with this.
