Desperate help needed for poorly camper van

Post by mad440 on Thu Sep 12, 2013 6:59 pm

Hello to all,
I have just rescued the above camper van from certain death. It was destined to go to the scrap yard and i really felt sorry for the old girl,so i bought her.
I have had her transported to my local garage they have given the old girl a once over and it is not good news. Most of the work they can do but they are really struggling to
locate a few parts,if anyone can help me on this matter i would be extremely grateful. I would love to see this old girl back on the road where she belongs and not made into scrap.
Here is a small list that i need to source

Inline fuel filter
Air filter
window washer bottle and pump
wheel bearing offside front
rubbers that secure the windows

Any help would really be appreciated as i am completely new to this side of motoring, and have never owned a camper van before.

                                                        thank you in advance

                                                        Mark

The best source of info for suppliers of CF parts is the 101 owners club. You will need to do a search for contact details.

Is it the air filter or filter element you need, if the latter any decent mot or accessory shop of factor should have these or be able to get you one

The washer bottle might be a substitution job, there may be a ref number on the wheel bearings, again a motor factor should be able source for you

There is also a forum for Bedford CF vans with a section called "where to get spares" ;-)
