Henlow Bridge Lakes - for trips to London!

Post by Chinaexplorer on Sun Aug 04, 2013 7:12 pm

I would recommend this site in Bedfordshire for trips to London. We have used it several times. It is within a couple of hundred metres of the railway station at Arseley which is on the East coast line and has frequent and cheap trains for Kings Cross which run quite late into the night. The site itself is very attractive and is specifically designed for fishing, with several lakes and platforms etc. That doesn't interest me, but its nice to walk around the lakes. There is a shop on site and also an events field for club rallies. There are several nice pubs close by and if you take a bike you can cycle round nearby Letchworth, one of the first New Towns.  There are also some long distance footpaths nearby.
