I'm very sorry for your loss. Remember all the times you had together........good and bad. It's what made your mum 'your mum'.

Sorry to hear of your sad loss, I can only echo the other comments.  Always remember her with a smile, the best epitaph you can give her.   Celtic biker, I don't envy you your day I have had to make similar choices.  Do what is best for him and remember him with a smile as well.

I too send my commiserations to you, Paul. Likewise I am sorry, Celticbiker, for the position in which you find yourself.

I couldn't reply yesterday because I was speaking at the funeral of a cousin - who dropped dead without symtom or warning aged a young 66.  I sympathise with you both and send best wishes for happier times.

Sorry to hear of your loss, I too lost my old mum a couple of years back, 86 she was, & the old fella is 5 miles away, 94 & getting a bit 'wobbly'.

We all though HE would be the first to go, as he somehow managed to survive 4 years in 3 different Japanese POW camps, AND he heard/felt the atomic bombs going off!!

I wonder how many Jap POW's are left?

Hi Paul, our thoughts are with you too, I lost my Mum 4 May this year aged 86, but very unexpected, hold on to the good memories which I'm sure there's lots of. I know there is a lot to deal with, I have had my brothers to help with this.

Yours,
Paul & Caz

Paul
So sorry to hear of your loss.
I was twelve when I lost my mum and have always struggled to come to terms with her death at the age of 36 and rarely a day goes by when I don't think about her.
I believe my dads  (misguided) attempts to shelter me from the circumstances at the time actually made the situation worse. The only small consolation I take from it is that I still remember her as a lovely young lady.
My thoughts are with you on this sad occasion
Regards
Brad

Paul,

Commiserations.

It's a tough situation and as a general rule everyone is very helpful; but just make sure that no-one takes advantage of you at this time.

Best regards,
best_friends
Ian

Hi Paul

I hope you are starting to get your head around everything. It's not easy I know shrugg . Don't forget you can express your feelings on this very supportive site. There is always someone willing to listen, and that's all we want sometimes, we don't always want an answer.

Take care allthumbz

Hi Paul,
I've only just seen this thanks to Minky's posting today. We were away without a connection when you posted about the loss of your Mum.
Lost mine two (nearly 3) years ago after years of illness so I know what the sense of loss is like.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to you mate - sorry it's so late.

Thanks Minky, Frank and Robbie.

Funeral was on the 8th, so now that is all past we are moving forward through the probate stage and the will etc but we are getting there. Thanks to this forum, I've found I've got some great mates and as Minky said, sometimes you just need someone to listen. I received over 30 public and private messages on the forum which helped a great deal.
