We went to CC site at Uttoxeter Racecourse a few weeks ago. It's right on the south edge of the Peaks District with plenty to see and do within a few miles including Asbourne and the beautiful Dovedale area. I put a report on here of our visit.

We stayed at the C&CC site in Hayfield last year. Really enjoyed it up!

Peak District

The Peak District has many places to stay so you will not be short of a pitch. Ashbourne is a good place to stay if you want to be in the south of the area you have a C&CC Site, Calow Top, Ashbourne Heights and many smaller sites.

Matlock is a very good base and Lickpenny is a good choice. Then you have Chatsworth with its Caravan Club site.

Moving north then you have the Hope Valley and some good sites in and around Castleton.

Take your pick - its a great area for motorhomes.

Castleton would be my choice but both CC & C&CC have sites at Blackshaw Moor just north of Leek on the Buxton road just south of the Roaches and the Winking man. Hills and reservoirs and views over three counties - highly recommended.
