wave Hi good morning members,
Can I ask if anyone has had similar experiences of poor signal and no channels when parked up on filey sea front as we could not get anything at all.
We have a Avtex 15" tv and an Avtex 1,000 aerial with the power switched on the antenna and we could not get a signal so it was jigsaw time not my favourite pastime.
I would like to hear if anyone else has had problems and if there is anything I can do to make sure I have tv next time I go to filey, hugegrins I know what the answer to this request will be ! Don,t go to filey snigger only joking its a lovely place.

Regards to all

Hi Grant.

I was at Filey a month ago. Not down on the sea front but up on the council site on the cliff top.

Avtex TV - Status aerial booster - Status directional aerial - Maplins signal finder.

Got all of the main channels and just over half of the freeview ones.

The elevation might have something to do with it.

Whisky.

Hi Grant,

I have friends that live in Filey and its serviced be two transmitters, Olivers Mount and another one, and depending on where you live depends on which one you need to point at, however if your aerial position is below the town level you won't get anything.
Apparently the locals generally use freesat or other satellite signals due to the local issues.

No help but hopefully gives you an insight into the local problems around Filey.

Kind regards

Depends on what aerial you have to receive a signal, my standard
Status 530/10 receives most channels, my Avtex 200 picks up BBC and ITV and most free view channels.
