52 Reg Symbol at Filey brigg 23/07/12

52 Reg Autosleeper symbol belonging to a couple from Wetherby Yorkshire, had a brief chat and handed them a calling card, hope to see them on the forum soon.

Hi good morning boaby,
We spent an evening at filey this last weekend and parked up for the night on the front near to the cobbled hill that takes you back in to town.
I just wondered if you have experienced poor tv reception in that area we had our avtex tv and the avtex aerial pointing in all directions but could not get any channels at all.
We would appreciate knowing if you had any similar experiences in the filey area or is it something we can address.

Hi Grant
Not up at Filey today, getting ready for the off soon, however we have found that BBC and ITV channels can be received on the Status 530 aerial by re-locating the direction of the aerial, you should get a good signal on the avtex aerial.
Don't think you will receive anything down where you were, better up on the Brigg or across the bay at Hunmanby gap.

Thanks for getting back to me regarding where to get better reception at filey I will try to find the cliff top position next time I am at filey .
Our next trip out will be to Ayr in two weeks time just for a couple of days then july 6th we are hoping to go mainly wildcamping on the east coast of Scotland so if you have any good tips on were to park up or places to see then I would appreciate a pm sending.
I am off to wash the motorhome now then try to find a suitable solar panel and fitter to install it for me before I set off to Scotland wildcamping.
