High Straggleton Farm.

Post by dogseal on Tue May 28, 2013 9:14 pm

Hi to all,
Nice cheap site, stunning views, Ideal location for wandering into Whitby or Sandsend. Recomended.

Tim.

PS, apart from the a&%$£hole who parked his unit next to mine, then proceeded to scream & rant at a member of his family in full earshot
of everyone, women & children included...then proceeded to run his genny all night till I asked them to turn it off at 10 pm.
( This is why I prefer to stay on 5 van sites )

Do'nt let the ps put you off the place Whisky!
I love the place & have stayed there before, We had a great time, weather was great & I love the beach between Whitby & Sandsend.
I even managed to get a bit of bodyboarding in. Result.

No accounting for wierdos parking next to you though, it can happen.

new car/motor home

Post by shelldrake on Tue May 28, 2013 10:26 pm

Got a new car (red) we parked away from any other car at Tesco today to return and find 2 cars parked RIGHT beside us.
I always park my M/H as far away as I possibly can from other cars etc. The other day I was pushing the trolley back and a car parked right beside our hab door. Shwee was abit embarrased when i drew it to her attention that there were dozens of spaces either side What is it with some people. Always find some P**t on any site

I had a similar problem at the Tesco store in Minehead last Saturday.
Plenty of space in the car park but a car parked very close to the van- owner was using our van as a sunshade-dog installed on the back seat.

There's one one nearly every site it seems!  I packed up and moved to a different pitch because of a similar eejit last time I was away.

Also, on the subject of cars parking next to you,  in a deserted town in Scotland with a huge expanse of empty car park, a woman pulled up right next to me and bashed her door into the van as she got out!  She seemed surprised that I was just a bit annoyed and incredulous!
There's no accounting for people. scratch head
