No, but Todds have / had one on display in their showroom. (it's a while since I've been in there)

Hi All,

Looking at these 'old timers', takes me happily back to the past.

Searching through our 'photo's for an entry in Stevo's "where etc", i found a pic of our first 'Real' camper, a 1962 Highwayman, we were so proud of it up! (Looks like a shed on wheels now hugegrins )

Happy days allthumbz

Keith,
That is a smart looking van, the inside looks immaculate. Is that the sort of van that would increase in value as it became even older and rarer?
I presume that WoF is a roadworthiness certificate.
$8500 NZ is a little over £4100

Hi squip

I would say that it has probably peaked in value and the owner will have trouble selling it. This is because the brand is largely unknown in NZ and when this was privately imported there would not have been any NZ agent for AS, unlike now. I think it would be different in your country where its pedigree would be recognised.

The WOF and WOEF refer to warrant of fitness and electrical fitness.

The other important issue here is self-containment as we have problems with young tourists hiring cheap campervans which are not self-contained and who freedom camp and defecate in our beautiful environment. The rules have been tightened up recently in an effort to stamp out this type of behaviour but to still allow freedom camping. The worst offenders are the smaller, unscrupulous hire companies.
