camping on Scotland

Hi Paul and Karen here
Can anyone recommend places to camp and visit on Lewis as my wife and myself are going there in may 13th via Moffat, Glencoe and Poolewe as we are in the camping and caravan club then onto Ullapool and the ferry. many thanks Paul javascript:emoticonp('up!')

You're going a long way up for the ferry! why not go from Uig on Skye? shorter, cheaper crossing.
If you must go from Ullapool, there's a semi wild camping site if you turn left towards Cove just as you enter Poolewe. Follow the road until you come to Firemore beach. £2 per night in the honesty box.

Cnip and Horgabost are great, basic sites - best to book in Summer though
