Bureside Park, Oby Norfolk

Post by Enn on Wed Apr 03, 2013 1:19 pm

Does anyone have experience of staying at this site? I will be in Norfolk during August and looking for somewhere to extend our stay with boat in tow, this site looks favourite so far but would welcome any suggestions.

Regards

Hi Enn... must admit I've not heard of that one... I can recommend the Norfolk Broads Caravan Club site not too far from the Gt Yarmouth area but located in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/caravanclubapps/applications/uk-caravan-sites-and-parks/SiteDetails.aspx?csid=21835

The Broads has always been one of my favourite places, if like me you love being near water (not in it hugegrins ) then here is a CC CL site (Gale Cruisers Riverside Caravan Park) which might be of interest, pitches are overlooking the river http://www.galeriverside.co.uk/caravan.html Admittedly its not a very good website, but will give you a rough idea.

Not sure if this helps or not, good luck whatever your arrangements up!

Thanks CC, I thought the one at Gale Riverside looked good so contacted them but they are fully booked up already so_sad . Seems a very popular site.
I don't think the other site has launching or mooring facilities.

I got twitchy (when some sites say they are booked up already for August) and have booked the Bureside site http://www.bureside.com/ after talking to them on the phone they can offer everything we need regarding boating facilities, I did find some reviews online as well, all great, so really looking forward to it now. boat

Roll on the summer I say sun

Thanks again

Thanks Brian,
I have considered this site before, looks nice but appears expensive to moor a boat. I may visit when in Norfolk this summer to properly check it out for another time maybe.

Cheers

Hi Enn.

There is a Caravan Club CL at Beccles that I stopped at a couple of years ago. It is actually in a boat yard. They have a slip. It is only a CL so facilities are fairly basic. It does have a toilet and washbasin with H & C which is always spotlessly clean. On the up side you can walk into Beccles to the shops. There is a couple of pubs in striking distance that do food thats quite good. There is normally a little antique market going on on a Sunday. Beccles also has 2 large supermarkets.
The site is --Rowan Craft. CL. Wherry Dyke. Beccles.

Cheers. Whisky. champagne
