COMPLAIN ABOUT EDITING AND THEY DELETE IT!

Post by Dutto on Mon Jan 07, 2013 10:00 pm

Hi there,

I submitted a Post to complain that another one of my Posts had been edited to protect a Moderator.

Someone has deleted this Post!

WHY?

Ian

Your post has not been deleted! It has been removed to the correct section ie Forum Chat - Any posts discussing the forum or problems with the forum should ideally be posted in the Forum questions section.

Please do not create posts like this in the future, if you have a problem with how we run the forum then PM me or a member of staff directly or post in the appropriate section.

Can I also request you do not use all capitals in your subject title.

Thank you.

A 'Pat on the back', Admin and Team

Post by deckie on Mon Jan 07, 2013 10:32 pm

My own view ........

Our Admin and Moderators are doing a great job, often having to deal with 'difficult' members !!

This was my first forum (and is now my only one) so had to find my way around and 'learn the ropes'.

It seems very clear to me that if I wish to be a part of it, I must accept the rules or leave.

Brian

Hi there,

Sorry, but I thought 'Discussion Lounge" was the correct place for my original Post.

With regard to moving Posts, may I suggest that when a Post is moved by Forum Staff a "ghost" is left behind in the original place so that people know that it has been moved?

The fact that it had been moved did not show up on my "Posts since last visit" and, as I was already in "Discussion Lounge" this was the obvious place to start this Thread.

Best regards,
drinksallround
Ian

Brian,

Until this incident I also was an ardent supporter of Admin and Moderators.

I do not consider myself as a "difficult" member and, apart from a "do not use capitals" and "do not use large text" have had no warnings or otherwise from Admin or Moderators.

This also is my only Forum.

I also accept the rules, but where does it say in the rules that Posts by Moderators cannot be criticised and that they are above the rules?

Best regards,
drinksallround
Ian

When a post is moved Ian a ghost post does stay in the original position for a while but is later automatically removed by the software we use, sometimes the ghost appears to remain in place for longer than on this occasion. We have no actual control over this.

Hi Ian, i like your posts and i do not always agree with your views.
however you can be close to the line IMHO.
You will have to accept that the owner is the sole arbiter as to" the rules" and its not up for debate.
Move on and relax. Try not to always have the last word.
Friendly best regards
