Tewkesbury Abbey CC site

Stayed here for two nights. The site has no hardstandings at all and is prone to occasional flooding. Apart from those negatives it is a lovely site with views of the Abbey which is within 3/4 minutes walk. Also it's on the edge of the town which is handy and full of lots of independant shops as well as a few of the chain stores.
The site has two toilet blocks (both immaculate) and having picked our pitch and gone back to reception to inform them which pitch we had chosen, we were given the keys to the toilets and a pass key for the automatic barriers which is needed in both directions. The only negative comment about the loos is the fact that one closes at 9.30am for cleaning until 11.00 (the other closes 11.00 to 12.30). If the site had been full, one block would have struggled to cope, afterall there are 147 pitches. When will wardens (or the club) realise that people are on holiday and may not wish to rise early enough to get a shower before they close the toilets.
There had been a lot of rain and some pitches were roped off as they were too wet, also some had been re-seeded and so were out of use. We used our gripmats to park the driven wheels on, just in case we had a problem driving off.
TV reception was reasonable, but we made sure we were not close to trees. O2 phone signal was good but Vodafone (for internet dongle) was hopeless.
Overall, lovely site, close to town and well positioned for exploring Cotswolds.
