Hi All

The only other Trident I've seen in my home town has been an old T25 - in the light blue colour - Never seen one like mine. But coming home from work today I've just seen TWO in the space of a minute !!!! The second one was a 10 plate VW T5 - LOVELY............I'm so so shocked I think I may have to have a small sherry confuzed

BTW this small miracle occurred on Brigg Road, Scunthorpe at around 1.40pm

Stevo

Hi Stevo smile!

Just found this forum by chance and came across your postings.

I have a VW Trident Autosleeper and live in Scunthorpe. We've bought the van 2 years ago and have had a few trips out and very pleased with it. We haven't been abroard with the van yet as the fuel prices put us off. We live near Brumby corner. Where are you? Have you been to nice places?

Regards

Hi Stevo wave

I've tried to pm you but I haven't got enough points!?!

I have driven past your van in Burton as my sons girlfriend lives in Burton. Small world isn't it.

We have got a 94 VW Trident Autosleeper and have been away in it last weekend in Edale, Derbyshire. It was a good weekend as the weather was glorious and we were with friends who also own a VW. Went to the "Nags Head" for refreshments of course.

I am considering to have the bottom of the van done as it has got quite a few rusty marks. Have been for quotes on the queensway industrial estate. It would need to have the bottom resprayed.

Anyway, hope you have a good bank holiday weekend. We are not away as we have other commitments.

If your going past our house pop in for a brew

Hi Stevo smile!

This is very freaky.

We were there last year too and camped at Bents Park. The wife run the GNR and this year we will both run. Did you run last year and are you running this year?

We will camp at Bens Park again and this has worked out well for us. Where have you camped and are you there this year too?

Hi Tankie
We both ran the GNR together last year but haven't entered this year - think we're doing the Robin Hood HM at Nottingham - We did it 2 years ago and you can actually camp at the start/finish - Makes life a lot easier. We stopped at Blaydon Rugby Club CC site last year for the GNR - It was quite near the start but we wish we'd have stayed at South Shields because it's more convenient for the finish.

I noticed you wanted your van "tidied up" paintwise. I can recommend Mark at Colorite on Hebden Road. He's done a few jobs for me and made a good job and isn't as pricey as come of the big boys. Come and have a look at my van and I'll show you what he's done.

Cheers

Stevo

Hi Stevo

Thank's for the info regarding paint job. I will go and see Mark at Colorite, Hebden Road and see what he says. Our van is rusting at the bottom and top and I am looking into having it done and re-sparyed.

Regarding the GNR, is it on the same day as the Robin Hood? Haven't done the Robin Hood half but heard it is good and wouldn't mind doing it. You can still enter the GNR but have to get a charity place if you fancy it. Are you in the running club or do you train by yourself?

Anyway, will come and see you somtimes or meet up with the van or camp somewhere. Would be great.

Take care for now.
