Leobay, Isle of Sheppey

Post by deckie on Fri Jul 27, 2012 7:26 pm

We have just spent two very enjoyable nights at Leobay (5 Van) campsite on “The Isle of Sheppey” Kent.

http://www.leobay.co.uk/

As it has only been up & running for just over a year (from a plain field), it is amazing what Steve and Sheila have achieved !!

They are Motor caravanners themselves, so knew what facilities they would like a site to have.

Friendly and Helpful Owners up!

Five hard standings with a grass area …… Electric hook-ups (10 amp) …… Free (at the moment) WiFi …..

Covered BBQ Area with seating for a good old get together (with Pizza Oven, Log Fire & Chimenea !! ) …….

The Heated facilities are housed in a Static Mobile Home with Kitchen / Cooking / Washing-up area with FREE use of the Washing-Machine & Tumble-Dryer one end …… and a Shower-room & Bath-room at the other …… up!

Sea views of “The Swale“, “The Medway” and on to “The Thames” …..

The site has just been inspected by the Caravan Club and will soon become part of the CL network.

The use of a Nissan Almera for a VERY small charge plus just add the petrol used allthumbz

Lots to see and do in the Area ……. Chatham Historic Dockyard ….. (Paradise …. lock me in and throw away the key smile! ),

http://www.thedockyard.co.uk/

Rochester Castle ….. Upnor Castle ….. Fort Amherst …. Dickens World …. Royal Engineers Museum etc etc

We will definitely return Steve & Sheila …… If we can still get a pitch, after all this publicity hugegrins hugegrins
