Gust of wind just blown door open and broken plastic retainer for flat door stay on Hab door, A/S can only supply complete door stay at £25.75 but can't supply plastic bit, has anyone else had this problem and found another solution.

Bourton Door Stay Empty Door stay

The hydraulic upper door stay on our (3 week old) Bourton does not hold the door open, even in very light wind.
Danger if fly screen used (to keep dog in) then if door slams shut it breaks it -this happened on our last MH.
We now routinely tie the door handle down to a ground peg just in case.
I got doubts that this type of door stay is suitable to the task intended.

The door stay is only to prevent the door swinging closed when pitch is not level. It is intended to break if a large force (wind gust) is placed on it rather than it tear itself from door and frame damaging both.

Problem solved, ordered new flat Hartel door stay from Autosleeper around 12.00 noon on Monday arrived 11.30 am Tuesday and reduced in price due to sale, Great Service.
