No, but intrigued by the question from a new Bourton owner. Changing your van already?

Hi. Not a Duo owner, but a standard Buford with a FB.

We have no real complaints except for the Whale fresh water system, which we have now overcome. What we also dislike is the submersible water pump, but these are standard on most Autosleepers and when it fails we will replace with a standard water pump.

What we really like is the space, the sperate bedroom and ensuite out the back. With the twin lounges you can spread out and chill out.

The layout really suits our style of motorhoming.

We have added bigger water tanks more solar and bigger batteries. In NZ we use our vans differently to the way you guys in the UK use them. We vary rarely stay in campgrounds. We freedom most of the time and hence we bigger everything.

We find the Mercedes fantastic to drive with plenty of power and being rear wheel drive really helps when going to some of the out of the way places that we go.

All in all we are very happy with our Burford.

Cheers

Hi
We had a AS Surrey (same layout as the Bourton)really nice MH but we found the kitchen area cramped,it was good for me as I could get out of helping with the washing up I got fed up with making beds so we went for a AS Gloucester with a fixed bed more comfortable, bed a little narrow at the foot end, but I did not really want a MH with a longer overhang at the rear as I tow a trailer

Hi Lesley, Norwich Lass,

We avoided the long overhang of the lovely looking A/S Burford and bought A/S Winchcombe (Winnie) instead because of the MASSIVE lounge space. The two opposing settees are very long and are simple to become two lengthways single beds instead, or pulled out and rebuilt across the van, becomes a huge double bed instead. This is ideal for us since we both get to keep our own blanketing/quilt/whatever via single beds, alternatively cuddling up on a double in cold weather.

Hope this helps as an alternative consideration. The only change I would consider would be A/S Malvern, for the permanent double bed - but the settees are shorter.

Good luck in your considerations.
Regards, Barry.

Same as Barry!

We chose the Worcester because of the lounge and massive amount of space you get in the daytime, it is very quick to convert the benches from two singles to a huge double bed and you have the advantage you can lay in any direction which you can't with a fixed bed layout. Important if you find yourself on a slope. Each bench has a custom made memory foam topper covered with a throw and it is uber comfortable day and night. The Worcester is the forerunner of the Winchcombe and the same layout.

Ours is six years old now and we would update it but there is NOTHING out there that offers any more comfort or convenience for our needs so why spend the cash!

Considered the Burford duo but that rear overhang would worry me and I doubt it would go over the drawbridge to Groundhog Castle without a tail strike censored!

Mercedes base ....awesome.
