Hi everyone Leisure Battery problem Empty Hi everyone Leisure Battery problem

Post by Bugboy65 Sun Sep 09, 2018 4:41 pm

Right we are off away to Somerset on Friday for 9 nights, and have just found out that my leisure battery is dead.
No water in it it’s been good for the last 5 Years So Had my money’s worth out of it.
Ant suggestions for a replacement battery would be greatfully received.
What would be the Best Battery to buy and where from.
Thanking you all in anticipation of your response
Cheers

It has been reported here that with LED replacements the glass doesn't fit unless you snip the pins a bit shorter.

I had to snip the pins as PLOUGHLIN says and I also had to increase the size of the hole in the reflector to allow for the larger diameter . . .

Much cheaper, great service but watch the polarity Of the connections you may have to turn the battery round to make it fit...
Mine is up and running well pleased with this company....

Raymondo, that's the first negative comment I have heard or read about Tayna.  Did they give a reason for the change from free delivery to this massive charge ?

Tayna do not do free delivery. Cost based on size and location.

It wasnt intended as  a negative comment it was a simple statement of the situation, I livein northern Ireland getting stuff send here usually means selling a kidney or at least a second mortgage (one place recently asked for £15 to post over a hinge which would have comfortably qualified as a 'large letter' costing about £1.50 to post)

As it happened I was in a position to call in at abergele and collect the battery ( brute of a thing) they even threw in a pair of screw on automotive post terminals.....that said the handles would have been nice - they werent offered and manoevering a 37Kg battery without handles isnt easy!

YUASA 150AH on Tanya site £133.96 + £37.99 del = £171.95 inc del.
YUASA 150AH on EBay £177.31 inc del.

so not exactly free delivery.
