Forum down-time

Post by Paulmold on Mon Aug 06, 2018 2:54 pm

Well after nearly 5 hours our hosting company (forumotion) have got it up and running again. Just wish they could give notice of maintenance work. They did put a note on twitter though which is really helpful to those not on twitter.

Well it was on for all of 3 minutes before it was off again. Let's hope it stays on this time.

It's still not right. Hanging at intervals and very slow.

I've had to come out of the forum and go back in twice to get this far.

If you can't see this post it's gone again!  lol4

I put a message on the Facebook group explaining and several members thanked me but I don't know who they are as real names appear on there and not usernames.

It hung completely as I sent the above post - so I almost wasn't joking. Had to crash out again and go back in.

Wonder if it will send this one??

And it's doing double posts, I've already removed two from Leighton that appeared twice and yours has trebled Dave.

Oh don't get me started. Can't stand company ads that say 'follow us on twitter' (or FB). Why would I want to follow Flash or Persil or whatever.

Same problem with delays in board actions here. Plus one for your sentiments on the "follow us on whatever" brigade, as I don't subscribe to "whatever" snigger

The note on Twitter appeared to say it was a unplanned outage, not maintenance.
