I had one on mine that I sold three months ago, Van that is.

Unfortunately not available  now from Fiamma, . as I want one for my present van, I am going to get one made out of stainless steel, then can have it longer as I don`t think it was long enough anyway. Might be an idea for you?

Best regards,
Margaret

Stainless steel seems a bit over the top
Checker plate lot lighter and fraction of cost, also if you have it made in two pieces can be used under wheels to stop wheel spin when getting off of wet grass

Theirs plenty of fiamma ladder guards if you google but their just expensive.

The one I gave at the moment came with the van and looks homemade, thin steel on the back and a thin sheer of plastic/fibreglass on the front but it's chipped tatty and has no lock, I was going to clean it up and cover it with vinyl wrap but by the time I buy everything for it I may as well buy one

hugegrins I know a man that can , I will see what he advises. he does have different materials, he was the one who welded  a bracket on the passenger seat so another armrest could be fitted.  works a treat really pleased with that,

Bought a drivers seat and double passenger seat, had to have the set, remains of drivers seat went down the tip, sold the passenger seats , just to get the armrest, bargain in the end.

Have the M&S tyres should be ok on wet grass, no problem on the flooded roads last week. I do carry mats for that purpose if needed in outside locker, Many thanks for advise David.
Good Luck with you know what.
Best regards,
Margaret

I did similar to Pete ... £5 Piece of new UPVC cladding from the scrappy, couple of hooks for the top (£3) and a galvanised Aerial U-Bolt with stainless nuts for the bottom.  Fine to deter the casual vandal/kids, looked good and did not rust nor fade either.

If you have a bike rack or backbox its academic anyway as they'll just climb onto that and up onto the roof from there if they're determined.

Best wishes, Steve
