6-7 metre motorhome with 2 single beds

Post by easylifer on Sun Jan 28, 2018 7:40 am

Having sold our Executive, which we loved, we would like a compact, low profile van with the ability to make 2 single beds in really good condition 2007 upwards. content wave hugegrins

Hi
Quite a few a round AS having the Symbol/Dorset or either of the two Kembertons.Vans and the Nuevo, Broadway low profiles, plus of course loads of others
Did you know that there is a show on at Westpoint Exeter this weekend, we went on Friday could be worth a visit to look over quite a few used vans there if you are not too far away

Yes, we were at the Exeter show today as we live in North Devon.  The Symbol is probably our van of choice, just wondering if anyone on here was looking to sell theirs before we look further. content

Good luck with your Symbol hunt, we had a look at a Dorset a couple of weeks ago, settled with a Duetto.

Will tell you on Wednesday, the van is shorter than the Symbol, according to the van specifications the Duetto single beds are 5 foot 11 ins, just enough for me.

Yes and to make the passenger side bed longer, turn the front seat around

According to the info with my 2012 Dorset (same as the Symbol but a Marquis special) the length of the Ducato is 5413 mm so about the same of the Duetto of a similar age
Yes you do have to turn round both cab seats to make two singles but this is not a problem, the passenger spins all the way round and the drivers 90 degrees to make two long beds very simple and quick with the slide out system on the sliding door side and as long as you just want singles you don't need to take the extra cushions that are only needed for the double.

I have made a few alterations on mine to the lighting and heating, plus camera on the back more than happy to show you if you do get a 2007 -2013 version like mine.

Happy hunting

David

Thank you for all your comments.  We are concentrating on looking for a Symbol or Duetto 2009 onwards.  We'll let you know how we get on.  David
