Hi, my name is Elaine and I joined this forum because I want to buy an auto sleeper this year and would like some help on what problems to look for as I cannot afford a new one, so looking at a Duetto or Symphony about 15 years old. I have also been recommended by other motohome owners that forums are a huge source of information. I had a little Fiat Pandora many years ago and loved it but only being able to do 45 mph top speed was a little irritating. I have had a couple of caravans and for the last 10 years or so, I have had a tent but I am getting too old and creaky now to take it out for a quick weekend so want to join many of my mates who already have motor homes. Looking forward to becoming part of the motor home family!

Welcome to the Forum Elaine from Willersey

Either of your choices would be good.  I personally prefer Ford vehicles the Duetto of that vintage would give you more space, but there is nothing wrong with Symphony’s. There are more of them on the market than Duettos

Both ‘may’ be prone to rust at this age, the Transit on wings and wheel arches and the Boxer on front cross members and wings
