Malcolm

You probably have but were AS any help?
It may also be worth considering replacing them with led. I recently was involved doing this across a commercial fleet.
There may be an alternative.
Not sure where you are located but these people were a great help to me in the past:
http://www.whittlevehicleservicesltd.co.uk/

The size of their Hella catalogue would put Yellow Pages to shame!
Also have a look at this for suggestions:
http://www.hella.com/hella-uk/assets/media_global/Caravan_Prospekt_2010_GB_HKG.pdf

Good luck
PB

BTW the number you quoted, was it on the lens? Have been led up the garden path on this before as the lens number bears no resemblance to the part number of the unit!!

The lads who service BEL replaced hers a couple of years ago using LED lamps. Not quite the same size but nothing to notice. I just called them to see whether they had any idea where they found them but it's too long ago. John offered to have a look through the catalogues but, since the office resembles O'Reilly's back yard on a good day, don't hold your breath!

They are around though.

2PF 961.167-021 thats as it appears on box delivered to dealer
within 24hrs now i dont know which dept to contact at hella

[don,t blame them really as they have big investment ina/s ]
but i would image he would get me a couple more if req . the 2 lamps complete [less bulb]

Good news indeed.
Obviously the Hella number is for the complete lamp.

marker lights

Post by malcolm125 on Fri Mar 02, 2012 6:47 pm

chris the individual lights are not fused but n/s lights and o/s light may be fused
have a lo0k if the rear lights on tha side are working if not working then there may bee a fuse some where . iwould suspect that it is on the vehicle
ciruits so look in vehicle fues box to see if any have blown
i presume you have got a bulb in ? next i found them very fiddley to get back in and the first time i put one
of mine back it it did not work but buy carefullly wrigling the connector it came on a touch of wd40 and eased the lamp back in
i switched the side lights on and left them on while i assembled them .. there should be nothing to short as its all g/fibe
also have a quick look in vehicle h/book to see if side circuit lists individual fuse . also check a/s h/book the only
fuse block is in zig unit but i cannot remember what they control without loooking good luck if you cannot sort it
message me back .. i will be back tues am , of to oxford this weekend

Might be 'iffy' wiring, check INSIDE the luton, light fitting is behind an alloy cover-plate, as its all GRP, there has to be not only a pos supply wire, but an earth-return as well.
You will need a small multi-meter, set it to 20v DC, red probe to supply wire & black probe to a good cab-steel earth, you may need a length of wire to reach somewhere, say the top seat-belt bolt, (have the lights on of course)!!
If you get 12v, then set meter to ohms, one probe to earth wire & other probe to the good earth point, if no reading, then the earth wire is bad somewhere, if NO 12v, that supply wire will need to be traced back, if its ONLY that one light not working, I doubt its a fuse as I've never known one marker-light to have its own fuse.

Post by peanuts on Fri Apr 12, 2013 4:52 pm

Hi Malc, et al,

Ok it's a year since you had your problem smiley_yawns with the lights but mine's now developed the exact same problem so_sad , as I'm a belt and braces soul, I'll send an e.mail with the part number to Hella but, if that fails, what was the dealer you got them from Malc confused3 .

Cheers, Malc aka Peanuts

Marker lights

Post by George.. on Fri Apr 12, 2013 6:04 pm

Hi,
The lights on our Gatcombe were rusted inside, Marquise who we bought the van from supplied us with new ones. Have since seen exactly the same ones in Go Outdoors of all places in Norwich(it is a large store).
Good luck,
George
