about to collect our Broadway EK

Post by Albertanddolly on Fri Oct 20, 2017 11:24 am

hi getting excited we have just had our last outing in our chausson and about to get our next m/h - a 2010 broadway ek with dinette and over cab bed.  we fell for the quality and comfort (we hope) but definite downsize on storage.  any storage tips would be appreciated.  also any recommendations for winter trips in uk.smile!

This may be way out of line with your thinking, but a lot of people use the overcab bed as a storage area for light things, and sleep on the double which can be made up in about one minute by sliding out the side benches.

Or you could use the side benches as singles in a Broadway.

Just a thought!

Our microwave doubles as a bread bin and the oven as a veg store.

Have you ever been to Ferry Meadows in Peterborough ? We've just had a great week there, new to us.

Open in the winter; 150 + miles of safe cycle and foot paths from the site, a heritage railway next door, convenient bus stop, pub and park, bird watching, canal boats, masses to see and do without needing a car, pleasant site with friendly staff...I could go on.  Don't miss Peterborough Cathedral, Longthorpe Tower, Flag Fen, Peterborough Museum among other things. We were very impressed and will go again. Ideal for grandchildren too.

Thanks Quilter that sounds great, as I can't walk far but have an electric bike and love cycling.  Will look it up.

One other observation about storage Albert - from personal experience I freely confess.  Whistle1

When you empty your previous van, how much of the amazing volume of stuff have you never used in the past couple of years?? We couldn't believe the size of the heap in the spare bedroom whilst waiting to collect the new van, and we had even forgotten we had some of it!! shrugg
