Format of forum change

Post by Liz n on Thu Oct 12, 2017 5:22 pm

I'm probably posting this in the wrong place, but can't find suitable on the forum to post it. There used to be interesting information with each member's avatars, giving their age, part of the country they hailed from and the year and model of their AS.
This wasn't about being nosey, but more about having additional interesting information about fellow members. I enjoyed the friendly vibe it gave in contrast to the more anonymous impersonal feel it now has. I assume that I am alone in preferring the old format as I haven't come across any other posts on this subject.

Only the age details have been removed but hopefully after this thread below, it will be reinstated..

Thanks Paul,
Yes, I agree with the members who have no problem with their ages being displayed. It was interesting to see the wide age range of forum members and encouraging to hear that many senior members were still enjoying motorhoming. Long may we all continue!

Liz, is it possible you have inadvertently switched from the "classic" version to the "mobile" format, which doesn't have the additional information you describe?

I usually put my age as 99. No one has ever queried it

8-0 for reinstating. Hardly an overwhelming turn out but a distinct preference.

Surely if anyone is bothered about displaying their age then just put 0 - same with any other details!
