About the most exciting part of JoG yesterday was spotting a friend for my van. It would have been rude to park anywhere else up!

Side door slides, it only needs a couple of inches and there was plenty of room to offload a fat Labrador and its equally sized owner snigger  the theory being that 2 new AS owners would treat each other's vans with equal respect, rather than allowing one of the many Deutsche motorcycles to shelter between us.

You're eyes must be worse than mine without my glasses, I can make out the models on the rear doors (opposite the number plates).

I've been without internet while up in the wilds, have I missed why you're now signing off as 'Boaby no van' ?

I have to admit that all the bikes I saw doing the NC500 were very well behaved and it's something I would have enjoyed on 2 wheels in my day.

Just noticed your location, did you visit the Oyster Festival that was setting up when I was at Stranraer a couple of weeks ago ?

In your day Wolf?? I do miss ages being removed from profiles. I bet I'm older than you.
I rode to Italy last year for the Moto Guzzi Factory's 95th anniversary celebrations, and have booked accommodation in Mandello  for the centenary in 2021, by which time my Guzzi will be 42 years old and I'll have passed the licence renewal age!

hugegrins It wasn't so much a reference to being too old Al, rather a slow realisation that I can't afford to return to the 2 wheels that I would want to return to.

Having had a recent forced setting up of a new home, that was in need of modernising and continuing with my 'camping' and kayaking adventures, something has to give and seeing as my bikes became toys in later life, they have dropped way down my list of necessities.

At 55, I probably am a decade younger than you, but I have learned never to say 'never' Whistle1

Ken.
