Boxer - Spare Wheel Release

Post by Wargenwolf on Tue Aug 01, 2017 12:11 pm

On the XL chassis, the spare wheel is lowered from its cradle by a winch mechanism, accessed from behind the rear offside wheel.

I've removed the remote air valve and lowered the wheel to the ground, but I'm not sure how to release the actual holding plate and winch chain, to allow the wheel to be pulled out from under the van.

Any ideas ?

Cancel my last thanks - A bit wiggle room and the entire plate passes through the wheel up!
