Digital terrestrial television in France.

Post by bikeralw on Tue Jul 04, 2017 9:01 pm

I'm not really one to watch much TV when in the van, especially when touring the continent. But we do carry a small 10inch Digital TV and booster connected to an omnidirectional aerial. This pulls in dozens of channels in the UK, and in previous years, has done the same when touring France. But not this year. Every time we tried a search there was nothing at all, this was in at least 20 different locations around the country. In Spain there were literally hundreds of channels.
What I'm asking is, has France turned off it's DTT.

In April last year France went Hi-Def only. You now need a DVB-T2 receiver.  I starated another thread on this about a year ago wgich explains it in more detail.

Cheers for that Ron.
Last year we toured Scotland, gave the continent a miss.
