Help needed Talisman

Post by nerdycross on Tue Jul 04, 2017 1:26 pm

We have recently bought a 2005 AutoSleeper Talisman  with just 14000mils on it . I'm aware of some issues with the van do to lack of use ,tires and stuff like that but have a creaking from the rear suspension which I think it may be a shock but before I replace them has anyone had similar problem ?
And help be appreciated

I believe the leaf springs need an injection of spray grease but need to  jack up in a way that opens the leaves apart enough to get grease in. I read this somewhere else as our Nuevo creaks occasionally.

On a similar theme to Paul, In years gone by we used to wrap the leaf springs in Denso Tape (grease impregnated tar) to stop them squeaking
We did have plentiful supply mind you!!

Update on creaking rear suspension

Post by nerdycross on Sun Jul 09, 2017 9:09 pm

Success I have eliminated the creaking rear suspension by jacking up the van to open up the rear leaf spring jet washing and packing with grease ,thank you for the advice.
