Well what a mess. With my limited computer skills I have not been able to get rid of the messages, and my usual guru, my six year old grandson just shrugged his shoulders. Maybe it's something to do with my ZX Spectrum....could need an upgrade. As a suggestion, while the computer fairies are weaving their magic why don't we just nominate a pub, somewhere in the centre of the country to meet up for a moan and natter?

I upgraded my Spectrum to a SAM years ago. It's still in the loft if you're interested? :-)

Any ideas
Spent ages looking at a way to block images on Safari but no luck. Have installed Firefox as a back up and have blocked the PB images.

Hi Rob

Does FF restore the appearance of the forum to what it always has been?

Worth using it just for browsing the forum if it does.

Thanks.

Not entirely, Dave: the "Reply" and "Edit" buttons have gone.

I seem to have everything, edit and quote buttons, the quick reply is also there.

Dave (Gromit), can you not merge this topic into the other topic on the AS General Chat Forum therefore keeping it all together?

Perhaps surprisingly, there has been no response to this issue from Admin. Presumably the Moderators and other Forum " Executives" are in touch with him. Is he OK is the first question ? followed by, Are there any plans in place to fix the problem ? rather than trying to find work arounds. Does it need a cash injection, I for one would be willing to throw a couple of quid in the pot if it does.

1. As Rob says, can these threads be merged, please?
2. As I've just posted on another thread, I hope Admin will make a statement next week;
3. As Norgil says, I'd be happy to contribute financially if that becomes necessary. After all, this Forum is a hobby in its own right!

I would if I could Rob and Cymro, but that's the one housekeeping task that Admin won't let us do.

I can quite see why, having moderated on another forum and seen the results when it all goes wrong. At best the result is unpredictable, and once the button is pressed you can't go back!!!
