Photobucket taken over forum on my ipad! Help

Post by Maasai Warrior on Fri Jun 30, 2017 4:58 pm

This morning Photobucket dialogue boxes has invaded my AS forum with multiple images on my IPad saying " PLEASE UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT TO ENABLE THIRD PARTY HOSTING" and to go to the photobucket.com/P500 website. It seems that this has happened before on this forum, perhaps due to site running out of photo memory? CAN ADMIN HELP WITH THIS SITUATION PLEASE!!!!

Others may have commented, but I can't tell as the images are all over the text. Please help! confused3

Have sent him a PM Paul, suggesting an image blocker, maybe he's unable to read it because of the PhotoBlockit spam.

I am peering through the forest of photobucket images! Received your pm's Kim, thanks. I have replied to you. Cannot set up an image blocker in Safari or google as there are no options, therefore I assume I will have to download a free image blocker application. I think I will have wait until the forum site gets sorted by "Forumotion" or ask my daughter when she comes round at the weekend!  I am reasonably computer literate having been a graphic designer computer end user, but I am not great at trouble shooting! I will normally give it a go, but this time I give up!

Thanks for your help.

The forumotion suggestion was Paulmold's, but possibly holding water as another privately owned site that I'm on is appearing to be able to able to serve PB hosted images with no problems.

Looking at the number of users on this AS forum at the moment I can't believe that I am the only one suffering this photobucket attack. Slightly different problem on my wife's IPhone, certain people's avatars have been replaced with circular photobucket images of the large square ones that I have on my iPad. (perhaps they are the one's that have used photobucket for their avatars). I am sure I haven't added a photo to the forum for a least a year! All very strange and my head is beginning to hurt!! scratch head

Goodnight everyone.

Pete

PS. I can only see partial replies to this topic! AAgghhhhhhh.

Thanks for the reply topcoat, I thought I was going mad!

I will give it a few days break from this forum to see if anything has changed?
