Legend 1998

Post by piggy123 on Fri Jun 16, 2017 1:04 pm

Hi All,

I have recently purchased a Legend. Would anybody have a pic of the top of the cooker extractor tube where it goes through the roof. By looking I would assume that it's a dome cap or something like. Mine hasn't got one and I would like to make one hence the request for a picture.

Thank you

Steve

Cooker extractor tube? Is there one?
There's an exhaust duct for the heater which goes through the roof
Maybe someone knows more?

Oh Yes, the legend has an extractor unit above the cooker.

Hi Piggy, Is your extractor unit a Dometic CK 2000? If so it does not require a vent in the body of your Legend as it works on a recirculation of cooking vapour/smells which is then scrubbed by an activated charcoal filter in the unit itself. Effective, I had one fitted to my Challenger 520 caravan and am considering the same with my Executive. Hope this helps.

Just been and looked at my 1998 Legend.  There is a large (bigger diameter than the one through the wardrobe) vent for the cooker hood, but is is lower than that one.  So yes, there should be two vents on the rook if your is the same as mine.

PS I'd post a picture but am not sure how to do this, or get rid of that annoying photobucket message.

That's easy: click on your Profile, then you get a number of tabs.  Click on the 5th from the left, called Avatar.  Check that next to Choose File it says No File Chosen.  Then click on Save at the bottom, otherwise nothing will happen.  It will then update with what I've now got.  HTH.

Well I've managed to post a photo but obviously have things to learn about editing it!  This is the cooker vent on my Legend.

TravelKat, I've tried what you suggested but so far it just reverts to the PB message.  So as not to take this thread OT I'll keep plugging away to see what else I can do.  But thanks for your suggestion anyway.

Tony, you need to delete the Photobucket link in Link to an off site avatar.
(Thought I recognised your name, a fellow P4 er, there are a few of us on this site).
