Loose Locker lock barrels on Inca EL

Post by Patrick Macdonald on Mon May 15, 2017 11:43 am

How can I tighten the lock barrels which spin or come out completely. Can i replace them. If so, how do I tighten them in place?

The barrels have flat sides so they can't turn in the hole. This suggests that the holes in the locker door have been 'rounded'. If you can take one out and post pictures of it and the hole, we may be able to offer some advice. For example you may be able to cut the correct profile in a piece of plastic and glue it inside the locker.

Our last van started to part company with the lock barrels, gave a good oiling with 3in1 oil and worked the key up and down before replacing the barrel in the housing But ensure the flats that Peter mentioned line up in the housing. Best of luck but it did work for me
