Spout for water carrier

I bought the following from Ebay

But need a spout to screw on the fresh water carrier, i would prefer a spout but might have to make do with funnel to get water in to fresh water tank.

Any ideas lads and lassies

Most people prefer to use a watering can or two

I'm strong enough to lift a watering can - not so sure about one of those things though!!

Mrs Gromit certainly isn't strong enough, so no good in our van!  

I use the end of the bottom of a downspout right angle for filling

Would the spout from a fuel can fit?

Same as Roger, used one of these for years now. Just build up the diameter with gaffa tape till it's a snug fit.

Same as both Peters, top up with watering can with a flexible plastic fuel can spout ( new)

It says 22 litres in the advert, plus 4 kg for the container itself. That's hernia country - 26kg to lift and control!!   Half a hundredweight in sensible money!!

I use the grey waste version and I'm mighty glad it's on wheels, anything near full and it's a Geoff Capes job

Oh look - that brings us back to Peter's watering can suggestion!

I used to use a 25l fresh water container, I struggled to lift it so I moved it to and from the tap on a fold-up trolley and made up a Whale submersible pump with an extended hose and cable terminated in a plug to go into the 12V socket near the window by the filler cap. 

After a few years of this I saw sense and changed to a 10 litre container which I can carry, I need the exercise from the extra trips to the tap; it came with a pouring spout:

Takes up less than half the room of the 25l and I no longer need the trolley or pump.

I also use it to store fresh drinking water in the 'van without it going through the onboard tank.

Thanks for the replies, trouble is i still think at times I'm 20 and looking at the size i agree it would be heavy to lift up, why i bought a large one was to save me trips to fill up as i can't walk to far without being in some discomfort (worn out back) so i think i will get a small pump that can pump water into tank, having said that if Geoff Capes os about ill get him to lift it up.

I use one of these with a bit òf garden hose stuck on in place of the Rose. 6.5l is plenty enough for me to carry in one go. It's shape makes it easy to store in the wet locker and, at £1.99 in B&m, I can just about afford to replace it if it leaks  

I use a similar wheeled container and made a submersible pump outfit with power lead long enough to reach 12v socket and a length of hose.

I have ordered a pump that runs off cigar lighter. Thanks for all the replies.

That's actually what I have with an extension lead to the socket.

Something similar with a collapsible bucket
No space for a watering can
I know there is a collapsible watering can but £30 is a bit expensive

Same here, no room for a watering can. I carry a 12 litre plastic water container with tap, which I leave full for drinking water after filling the tank with it. It's my morning workout filling the tank, 13 kilos is no problem, but I think I'd baulk at twice that!
