Legend sliding window seals

Post by christhelegend on Mon May 08, 2017 1:22 pm

Hi everyone!
I have a 1990 transit Legend GL owned for 4 years now. Slowly sorting it out!!
I need to replace the inserts for the large sliding side windows and AS no longer supply it, any suggestions?
I have looked at seals direct the Flock Lined Window rubber looks best but which? FWR713 or FWR3277 or even the flat one that bends round to form a U ?
Anyone used any of these or anything else?
heres hoping

Which did you end up using?
I have a Ford based Autosleeper Legend GL on a 96 Plate and would also like to replace these inserts for the windows on both sides, one side does leak, the window also has a large crack in it on the inside, and I cannot find anywhere that supplies these windows anymore.

Regards Paul.

Try Eeco , they have hundreds of moulds or can make to pattern.

I would prefer something from a breaker, as new would be way costly for me, these places tend to be very expensive.

Glubman GL sliding windows lower seals

Post by Iamonly77 on Sat Nov 04, 2017 11:48 pm

AS say they no longer supply these seals but have sent to me a short sample of rubber which requires to be bent into a 'U' shape before fitting into the existing channel. It looks a good bet so will be ordering longer lengths and if successful will post.

I'd appreciate it if you could let me know, and any details you can supply would be very helpful.
