Painting the underside of the van

Post by samleeds on Mon Apr 24, 2017 9:29 am

My van has a defined line between the top of the bumper and the rear of the van where everything below that line is dark grey. The decals match but has anyone repainted this lower portion to basically cover up the stone flecks and tired looking undercarriage. Ive asked my local sprayer if I could match the paint colours but he said it would be worse to try and match colours and why not go black with a bit of white added to brighten the shade but still match the bumpers.

Has anyone done a diy job on this type of tityvate.

I use T-Cut on my skirt every year Sam, does yours really need a paint job?

I tell you what though, that's going to be one showcase van. allthumbz

on the lips underneath that are the welder seals, they are badly stone chipped and there are a few more stone chips on the arches which if seen to, isnt that big a job. grinder, wire brush, sand and prime then spray to a gloss finish. No filler or welding needed as my sills and underneath are solid. Yes it will be a showcase van but thats the way i want it. Steam cleaner coming this week to do all the cushions and walls inside.
