Sussex Duo tyre pressures

Post by daveH on Fri Apr 07, 2017 1:52 pm

Hi - calling all Warwick Duo and Sussex Duo owners.  I recently enquired about my Bridgestone tyre pressures to the manufacturer. I sent away tyre speed info and front and rear axle weights. Bridgestone advised that my tyre pressures should be - Front 44p.s.i., Rear 35 p.s.I. These pressures seem a bit low as the tyre pressures when I first collected the van were around 55 p.s.I. Can owners advise me on their tyre pressures please.

I have Bridgestone tyres also and you are lucky to receive a response from Bridgestone. I never did. After visiting the weighbridge with full load and checking the front and rear axle weights, then consulting with various tyre charts, including the one available on this forum, I have settled for: front 55psi, 43psi for rear. Runs well for me on the Kemerton at these pressures.

The pressure quoted on the plate in the front passenger door-shut are 60 psi front and 65 psi rear. These do give a 'firm' ride, but they are the only pressures Peugeot will stand by.

Thanks for your replies -  60 psi front and 65 psi rear -these are for a working van maybe carrying a load of sand etc., a bit to firm for a touring motorhome. Front 55psi, 43psi for rear sounds better - will give a far more comfortable ride. A bit doubtful of Bridgestone's advised pressures.

Hi
I have a warwick 2008 and use Dunlop splt60 tyres and do 60 front and 65 rear with tyre pressure monitors fitted. so far all good a bit firm
and they don't seem to rise much more than 2 or 3 psi. all I would say is read up on as much info as you can about tyres. year they have been made etc...
good luck
