It's so easy to miss that last "click" - not that I've ever done it of course!!

Re: changing email address
When you click Save it asks for your password so that the site knows you are who you say you are (even though you have already logged in using your password). It is not asking for a new password. So if you put in a different password it will assume you are an imposter and NOT make your changes. To change your password you would have to enter your old password, then your new password AND confirm your new password by entering it again (to guard against you having mistyped your NEW password).Sue68 wrote:Clicked save, changed password still get the old email address :-(
I hope my explanation helps you.

Re: changing email address
SORRY!
The process is not what I thought! I had described the process that I had used on a different forum.
I have just successfully changed my emakl address as follows.
Go to profile
Enter new email address
Ignore thd link "modify" but click on save.
You get a message that you need to validate the new emsil address
Open your new email address and tbere eill be an email from the furum and click the link in that
You will be taken to a forum page telling you that the address has been changed.
You can check that by opening your profile again.
Really sorry to have caused confusion.

Re: changing email address
I followed your instructions and it said I must fill in required information, which I hadn't needed previously. This was the age of my van and my age. I put 1st Jan 0. It now says it doesn't accept members over 99 years. I'm 99 on other forums :-)) I've now put in another date and I think all is well. Many thanks for the help.

Re: changing email address
Glad it worked. I have now changed my email back again. Not sure why age is wanted but the rest help us all to help you when you post a question. Without knowledge of van and year there are too many variables!

I got the above message when it wanted my age and the age of the van. I went back and filled the required fields in and now all is well.

Thanks for that tip. I've never given that information before so I was reluctant to do it, now I've made it up.Sue68 wrote:I got the above message when it wanted my age and the age of the van. I went back and filled the required fields in and now all is well.
