Buzzer(Beee...)Sounding on Pug Exec.

Post by alythian on Wed Mar 15, 2017 11:09 pm

Hi all,
A strange one this. Returning from a run to my sisters over a hilly road, warning beeper started to sound. Stopped van and checked that step was retracted and that radiator header tank was at proper level. Started off no immediate problem. However further into journey beeper started to sound again.I stopped the van, the step was ok as was the water level in the header tank. Temp guage was sitting on 60degC no warning lights on instrument panel. Not far from home drove back with buzzer sounding. Yesterday trip to Forfar (Chas Butler, Motor Engineers re. 2nd gear prob ) no buzzer/beeper? Possible step warning buzzer fault?
Thanks in anticipation of any replies.

Is step fully retracting? They get clogged with mud and so may not go fully back.

Thanks Paulmold, I shall give the step and its mechanism a good look over when I get "Hector" back from Forfar.
