NEWTON AYCLIFFE

Post by mikeyval on Tue Feb 21, 2017 2:00 pm

Anyone able to recommend a CS or maybe a small independent site around the Newton Aycliffe area Co. Durham?
We needt visit friends there who are in ill health but would like to make a short break of it at the same time.
Approx' 10 mile radius would be ideal.
Thanks
Mikeyval

Mikeyval, Google Hunwick caravan sites, there are some good sites in a pleasant area.

I can't recommend this CL as it is so close to home, I would never use it, but it is only a few minutes drive from Aycliffe.

Middridge Meadows Livery Certificated Location

It also has the benefit of being a few minutes walk from an excellent village pub, The Bay Horse at Middridge, the superb food which I can personally recommend.

I'm at the pub for a meal tomorrow night and will be passing the CL, if you want any further info, I'm happy to pop in for you.

Ken.

There's also this one, which is even closer to me and I only noticed the sign on the main road this week.

Again, it's only a few minutes from Aycliffe and both are easy to get to from the A1(M). Jct.60
