Robsons of Wolsingham

They are listed as A/S dealers, however not sure on their actual A/S stocklist

Hello Empty Yet to buy one.

Post by Jane Millar Sat Nov 05, 2016 10:17 am

Thank you for all the replies & advice. It is obviously a huge new venture & if I buy one I want to do it properly & embrace the whole experience. I would be very grateful for any hints/pitfalls etc. Can one hire an auto-sleeper to try before committing to such a huge purchase. Thank you

Yes there are a few companies that hire Auto-sleepers, nearest to you would be this one..

http://www.motorhomesuk.co.uk/motorhome-hire/North-East-England/194/Autosleeper-Symbol--2-berth--Newton-Aycliffe--County-Durham-/

or this one...

http://www.prioryrentals.co.uk/motorhome/vw-auto-sleeper-trident/

both deal with the smaller models. Don't know what size you have in mind but if you google
'Autosleepers for hire' you'll find others but you may have to travel further afield.

Hi Jane and a warm welcome from Co Durham.

Both Robsons of Wolsingham and Marquis (Birtley) are Auto-Sleeper stockists, but Robsons only recently. Last time I was there they had a fraction of the display models that Marquis had in and obviously Marquis are located much more conveniently for me, with them being so close to the A1.

If you do end up visiting Marquis ask for Nick Condon (Sales). In my experience, he's the most trustworthy salesman I've dealt with and I had no hesitation going back to him with my latest order.

Good luck with your search,

Ken.

Robsons have been AS for years they did have a break from AS but the knowledge is still there and customer service.
Reason Marquis probably have higher stocks, part of AS are they paid for ?

Thanks for the clarification Roli, I wasn't aware they were previous stockists.

When I first became interested in AS in 2014, I contacted them directly for nearest stockists. Their reply was that Marquis (NE) was my nearest and they mentioned then that Robsons had recently become a stockist.

Ken.
