Did anyone else have problems accessing the forum last night or was it just me?

Off for 6 hours before an apology for maintenance appeared. Poor show from the forum hosting company. It just happened to coincide with my internet going off as well so thought it had something to do with that. Luckily I use another forum which uses the same hosts and that was off as well so realised it wasn't me after all.

Me too, it looked like the whole site had crashed and all I got was a blank page with the number 102503. Every few seconds the page looked as if it was trying to refresh, but kept dropping back to that number, which I assume is an error code.

No issues on Monday night in the NE, but that said, I did have an early night with working early days, so may have missed it going off.

That seems to have had us all guessing. The fact that all other internet access was available and that the same problem appeared on both laptop and tablet led me to believe it was the forum that was down. Unfortunate that there was no general message other than the mystic 102503 that said nothing.

I googled "102503 forum error" and guess what? No help whatsoever.

Having the same error on two devices led me to believe that my username had been blocked. I was pleased to see that you had let me back in today. Don't forget, just because you are paranoid it doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you.

A severe jolt to the system, that was! Couldn't get my daily fix of the Forum! Relieved it wasn't a domestic access fault. Nice to be back!

Why does it always happen when the damned computer is already playing up!!!!!

I was wrestling with it anyway, and when the forum failed I thought it was yet another symptom of computer senility - and spent ages looking for a cause.

I think I'll have to ask that nice Mr Claus for a new one!

Dave, I think you will have to sweet talk Mrs Claus! hugegrins

Was I dreaming or did a button appear briefly over the weekend in the thread header that allowed you to jump to the latest post, or am I having another senior moment! I always access through the view posts since last visit and am sure I saw the button, or was it another forum?  scratch head
