Just a quick introduction and to say hello..!!!

We have owned a 1993 Clubman GL 2.0 petrol for the past 9 years, and although we love the clubman, we have always found the petrol engine to be thirsty and underpowered. Today we have just bought a replacement 2002 Gatcombe with a nice 2.5 TDI (102) engine.

Found this forum whilst looking for advice on what to get to replace the clubman, and am looking forward to getting hints and tips from other forum members and sharing anything we may come across as well.

Welcome from Kent. We have a Trident VW T4, 2.5 TDI and find it fairly economical to run and not at all sluggish! I have not had the pleasure of driving it myself yet but will be added to the insurance.
We hired a VW T2 a 1970 s model although it was beautiful to look at we were forever filling it up with petrol!
