Hi, We're John and Sue, from Lancashire (Sue, writer, is Yorkshire born). We've just purchased an Autosleeper Executive 2005. Very happy with the way it drives on way home from seller. Looking forward to first trip out in 2 days time.

welcome John and Sue . You must be pretty excited about your first trip . winks   can still remember our first trip to Cornwall , we were smiling all the way there and all the way back again!

Is it literally your first trip ? I hope you'll not think it forward of me to offer a few tips that might prove useful.

Make sure that you have some levelling blocks and a level in case the campsite is uneven. There is nothing worse than sleeping on a slope  hugegrins I should add here its worth checking that you have the handbrake on before going to bed.  We were lucky to manage to grab the handbrake in the pitch dark as our van rolled gently off down the campsite in the dark  hugegrins

Give your fresh water tank a good flushing before you go. We fill up with water when we arrive and carry bottled spring water for the journey and for cups of tea and cooking.

Make sure you have some eco toilet flush although you can usually buy that at any campsite.
Don't be tempted to use any kind of bleach to clean the Thetford toilet bowl or it will perish the rubber seals ,(ask me how I know ..ahem).

We carry a short length of hose (3x mts) with a brass screw adaptor fitted for filling our water tank. We also carry a medium size plastic watering can  for filling the tank when we cannot get close enough to a tap to use the hose.
On our first trip we took a huge 40Lt water roll ...only the once. Whistle1   there nowhere to store it it that doesn't get in the way and they are cumbersome to use . We see lots of campervanners using a watering can as it has a nice spout to save spillage and is not too heavy to carry.

Hope nobody minds me listing a few tips about things that caught us out on our first trip smile!
