Done the Deal

Post by davtherav on Wed Jul 27, 2016 8:29 pm

Well great news! We've done the deal (subject to engine and road test) that we are both happy with. Come the weekend I'm hoping to be the new owner of that sad looking motor-home and am looking forward to getting her looking pristine again. I just wanted to thank again everybody here for all the help and support they have shown me, I was lucky to find your site and I hope to be a regular here posting stuff! I still can't master getting my photos over from my Samsung phone, but I'm pretty sure that my Son-in-Law can sort this out for me.
One of the first things that I will have to tackle on the motor will be the rust on the windscreen so if anyone can point me in the right direction? Thanks.

There has been threads on the body repair work on these vans in the past I think there was photos. Suggest you do a search.  Good luck with your project sure you will enjoy

wave Now you have made contact with us you will never be short of help. There are so many of us that some one will have the answer to all youre questions be they small or large problems. As I said I wish I had time and space for such a project. Trying to fit early retirement shed time, motorhome trips and managements tasks is a full time job.
Good luck, allthumbz

This guy seems to be well thought of in 'Talbot World' http://www.customcampersuk.co.uk/talbot-fiat-page-2/
Not exactly on your doorstep though.

I also recommend that you buy JK Towers' DVD manual http://www.jktowers.co.uk/product/te_manuals_cd_dvd Although I don't own a Talbot, I bought one for curiosity and its packed with stuff - well worth the £4.
