Can anyone give me the name of an app.for iphone where I can locate the nearest/strongest TV transmitter to assist with ariel allignment please.

On my Android I use "DVB-T  UK" and it works well, check if it is available for the iphone.

I use "Antenna Aligner" on my iPhone.

We use a free app called "UK Aerial  Alignment" - been good to use to date.
